Things to know

A few things to know about registering your child for Pre-K through Smart Start, Head Start, or the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools Office of Preschool.

Pre-K is typically a 6 1/2 hour day, five days a week.

These Pre-K providers follow the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools district calendar

Most Pre-K providers do not provide transportation or before/after school care for students.

Regular attendance is strongly recommended for all students.

Once your application is submitted, placement notifications will occur between June 1 and July 31.
